  • Born, Corona, California, April 15, 1953.
  • Admitted to Florida Bar, 1980, U.S. District Court, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
  • Education at Florida State University. B.A. Summa Cum Laude, 1974; J.D. with Honors, 1980.
  • Member, Orange County Bar Association (Member, Family Law Section), American Inns of Court.
  • Dana Hankins has been providing legal services in Central Florida for over thirty years. After graduating from the Florida State University College of Law with Honors, Ms. Hankins began her career as an assistant legal advisor to the Orlando Police Department. She then served as City Prosecutor and advisor for the City of Orlando in various civil matters. In that capacity, Ms. Hankins gained experience in a wide variety of civil and criminal matters. In 1984, Dana Hankins began a general civil practice. She subsequently formed a partnership and practiced with Roney and Hankins, P.A. for about ten years.

    For the last fifteen years Ms. Hankins has chosen to focus her practice in the area of marital law, using her broad professional and personal experience to guide her clients through the quagmire of divorce and divorce-related matters. Ms. Hankins serves as a Court-Appointed Guardian Ad-Litem/representative for children caught in marital parental disputes. She also provides estate planning services to terminally ill persons in the community through the local Legal Aid Society. In 2009, Ms. Hankins proudly received an "Award of Excellence" from the Orange County Bar Association's Legal Aid Society for her pro bono services to children and others in need.

    The firm's philosophy in family law matters is to tailor the representation to the needs of the individual client. This includes vigorous advocacy for the client's interests balanced with a realistic understanding of the benefits of the legal process. Although many cases have similar issues, the individual needs of clients require a creative approach to resolution. The firm offers competent and prompt legal representation to clients.
